How to clean vinyl records.
Come by our Vancouver Showroom for a demo and some advice. Keeping your records clean is key to great sounding vinyl playback. Don’t forget that brand new records need a good cleaning just as much as find from the bargain bin at your local thrift store.
Supplies used in this process:
Pfan-Stat No. SA-14 record cleaning fluid
Paint Brush that is brand new and unused
Clean lint free cloth
Step One: Screw on the record clamp/label covers.
**Step Two: ** Spray on the SA-14 record cleaning fluid. With the paint brush work the fluid into the grooves. Brush with the grooves not a across the grooves.
Step Three: Spin the record in Diso-antistat disc washer. Use distilled water in the bath.
Step Four: Dry the record with a clean lint free cloth and set aside in the drying rack.
Step Five: Start the record spinning then use the record cleaning brush. Remember not to touch the brushes with your hands. To keep them free of any oils from your skin.
